SATURDAY LOWDOWN: What Was the First Movie Ever Screened at the Eureka Theater?

To celebrate 80 years of classy existence the Eureka Theater will re-screen the first film ever shown in the building: 1938’s Going Places, perhaps best known for featuring Louis Armstrong’s song “Jeepers Creepers” (see above). He sings it to a horse for some reason — guess you’ll have to go see the movie to find out why!
