WEDNESDAY LOWDOWN: The Psych Rock Band That’s Playing in Arcata Tonight Seems Weird and Ambitious

There’s actually a few above-average musical outing options in Humboldt this Wednesday night, as revealed in your Lowdown listings below. But one group that to our knowledge has never been here before is Nolan Potter’s Nightmare Band, an adventurous crew which dabble in soul and psychedelia and seem to have a penchant for long songs with elaborate arrangements. They’ll squeeze into Richard’s Goat Tavern tonight (and you can too).
