Lowdown: Let’s Marvel at Trombone Shorty’s Circular Breathing (VIDEO)

Tonight begins a big week of shows for CenterArts featuring Colbie Caillat, Gov’t Mule and Dave Rawlings Machine. First up though is Monday’s Van Duzer Theatre date with Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, led by captivating trumpeter and trombonist Troy Andrews. Dude can blow.

Let’s just do this: You will note that the Lowdown, as we often do, has embedded a YouTube clip above. OK, if you want to see some serious circular breathing and undulating cheeks skip to just after the 2:00 mark. Oddly, after watching Andrews minute and a half of breath-robatics, you too will somehow find yourself out of breath. Not sure how that works.
