LoCO Invites You to Watch Bowie’s ‘17 Minutes of Perfection’ at Live Aid (VIDEO)
Well, it is David Bowie day on the Internet.
It was nice to hop in the car this morning and hear guest KHUM DJ Chris Parreira forego regularly scheduled programming to provide Humboldt some aural therapy with a nice, long Bowie set. Well done. Inspired by Chris’ sensitivities, we’re just gonna go ahead and embed a YouTube clip, above, of Bowie’s 1985 Live Aid set as suggested by friend of the LoCO Jeff DeMark.
“17 minutes of perfection,” said Jeff to us this morning via Facebook chat. Yeah, Bowie is pretty good.
As far as regular Lowdown duties, do note that even though good people die sometimes laughter still exists in the world. Thus, up at Richard’s Goat Tavern tonight, a team of local comedians led by Matt Redbeard invite you to watch Kirk Cameron’s 2001 piece o’ biblical apocalypse cinema Left Behind. Why would you want to watch that? Because Redbeard and Co. will be providing Mystery Science Theatre 3000-esque commentary throughout.
Should you attend the screening be prepared, like the subjects of the film, to miss out an eternity in heaven. Oops!
