SATURDAY LOWDOWN: Hey, We Should Probably All Go To Arts Alive Tonight, Right?
Nancy Tobin’s “Journey to the Center of the Milks”
Wow, yeah, we can totally do this together. Like, we absolutely believe in your ability to pull it together, put on some outfit that’s slightly above your usual appearance standards and overcome your post-pandemic social anxiety to go participate in community stuff (like you used to). You are brave. You can handle Arts Alive. I mean, odds are good you’ll see someone you haven’t seen in two years and it will make you smile and give you hope for the future of humans, right? That could conceivably happen!
And while you’re out there in Old Town being a person, maybe swing by the Morris Graves Museum where super rad local installation artist Nancy Tobin has labored to craft a weird, colorful lair she’s calling Journey to the Center of the Milks which is likely to delight your jaded senses. She promises “pink plush umbilical cords” and “hundreds of pounds of corn kernels.” So there’s that.
More Saturday delights in your Lowdown below. Venture out. Be kind.
