FRIDAY LOWDOWN: Northern Nights! Folklife Fest! Quadiators! More!

Your Humboldt Friday is a bit more distraction-packed than is normal. Scroll your Lowdown below for more info on the official kickoff of this year’s Northern Nights in SoHum to an Absynth Quartet-headlined Humboldt Folklife Festival night out in Blue Lake, to adult skateboarder Taylor Clark at Savage Henry Comedy Club. 

But if you’ll indulge us, we’d like to highlight one sentimental favorite event in particular. This is a special day of the year for us here at LoCO because Friday night of Fortuna Rodeo Week means the return of Quadiators — the locally conceived redneck Mario Kart-ish competition that will make its glorious return to the Fortuna Rodeo grounds this eve. This, of course, means that we again have an excuse to share our favorite Quadiators fight video, which you can enjoy above.
