THURSDAY LOWDOWN: Hanneke Cassel! Aida Rodriguez! The Coffis Brothers!
Your Humboldt Thursday contains three events we are inclined to highlight:
- Fiddle whiz Hanneke Cassel returns to the Arcata Playhouse for a night of Scottish-influenced acoustic string music. Her trio also includes guitarist Keith Murphy and fellow fiddler Jenna Moynihan.
- Comedian Aida Rodriguez first appeared on Last Comic Standing and is a host for The Young Turks. Her HBO Max comedy special Fighting Words was released last year. A perusal of the CenterArts website indicates there are ample tickets available for her show at the Van Duzer Theatre.
- HumBrews stays true to form with a double bill featuring country roots rockers The Coffis Brothers and local vintage swing jazz go-getters Canary and the Vamp.
Sample all these artists in the clips above. Then choose one.
