THURSDAY LOWDOWN: Yoga is About ‘Liberation, Not Lululemon’
The Zero to Fierce Festival at the Arcata Playhouse kicks into high gear Thursday night with a couple of shows of note. First, Mayuri Bhandari presents her one-woman dramedy The Anti Yogi, which satirizes the way yoga has come to be perceived and practiced in the West. (Check out a preview above.) Then, before her weekend with Beats Antique at the Eagle House, renowned belly dancer Zoe Jakes leads a troupe of movement artists as part of The Serpentine Storytellers.
