FRIDAY LOWDOWN: Chew On This
As reward for another dutiful week at the box factory, your Humboldt Friday offers up numerous communal opportunities to distract your eyes and ears. Humans doing things! We’ve still got it.
One show we will highlight — part of the continuing Zero to Fierce Festival at the Arcata Playhouse — is Bubblegum, a not-for-children children’s TV show which the Playhouse describes as “1984’s Sesame Street located in Chernobyl.”
If you require further explanation, Bubblegum’s creator Daniela Nenova stopped by KSLG the other day to gab with DJ Rhi Marie about her baby. Tune into that exchange below and/or scroll your Lowdown below for alternative Friday fun.
