Help Out at Jazz Fest, Get Tickets / Submit Your Band For The Folklife Festival
Low key Monday, Humboldt. So we’re gonna use the Lowdown space to inform good people how they can get involved in two upcoming local festivals:
- First off, this weekend sees the return of the Redwood Coast Jazz Festival and organizers are hoping to seduce a few volunteers to work the event’s various venues — word is you can earn an all events pass by working a mere eight hour shift? Are you into all that jazz? Call 443-3667 or email mrsb814@msn.com.
- Looking farther ahead, the deadline is approaching (April 15) for local bands/musicians who’d like to be considered for a slot at this year’s weeklong Humboldt Folklife Festival from July 13-19. Send all your band info (website, mp3s, impassioned pleas) to festival@humboldtfolklife.org.
