Lowdown: Cirque Disco-leil, StrangeBrew, Ziggy Marley and More

Holy overbooked! This Humboldt Saturday is about as packed as it gets, what with Kid Ink, Strangebrew, and Ziggy Marley, just to name a few of the highlights. Seriously, scroll your Lowdown listings below and be bummed you are but a single entity. [KID INK HAS CANCELED.]

But if the Lowdown had to pick a single location to be Saturday’s community epicenter, it would have to be the Arcata Community Center which plays host to a pair of very different colorful events. First, of course, is the public memorial for Dylan Ruiz. If you haven’t read the tribute written for Dylan by his loved ones, you should do that here. Later in the evening, the community center will be transformed into the backdrop for Cirque Disco-leil, the latest benefit for the Arcata Ridge Trail. What is this thing? You could read up on it, or you could let event organizer and human fireball Debi Farber Bush explain. Luckily, you Lost Coast Outpost ran into her on the Eureka Boardwalk earlier this week. Take it away, DFB!
