Redwood Jazz Alliance 2014-15 Season Opens Tonight
You want options, Humboldter? Tuesday has them for you. Whether it be hellbilly barn burner Hank 3 playing his first of two nights at the Mateel Community Center, eye-popping choreography courtesy of the Mark Morris Dance Group at Van Duzer Theatre or though-provoking (?) yuks rounded up by Savage Henry Magazine for their monthly C U Last Tuesday comedy showcase at Jambalaya, you are barred from complaining about lack of midweek people clusters. Fun is out there.
One more example: Redwood Jazz Alliance is opening their 2014-15 season at the Kate Buchanan Room with a set from hard bop septet The Cookers. You may want to scope the entire year’s lineup on the RJA website, and then get a taste of how The Cookers cook in the clip below.
