SATURDAY LOWDOWN: North Country Fair! Matisyahu! Hoodslam Wrestling!
Your Humboldt Saturday could be pretty packed if that’s the lifestyle you seek.
- The Native Ink Expo continues down at Bear River Casino giving you ample time to add some color to your carcass courtesy notable tattoo artists. Oh, and Saturday night features music from Matisyahu. No big.
- This weekend sees the return of the North Country Fair — now in its 45th year, dear God — to the Arcata Plaza. If you plan on attending you should note that they’ve switched up their programming: This year the All Species Parade is taking place Saturday while the Samba Parade is filling the Sunday slot. Now you know.
- Oh, professional wrestling! Fill your eyes with dumb spectacle at the Eureka Municipal Auditorium when boys Hoodslam kick the shit out of each other. This is not for kids. Don’t.
