SATURDAY LOWDOWN: Free Library Documentary! Humboldt Roller Derby! Paranormal Cirque! And More!
The good people at the Eureka Library and KEET TV are closing out National Library Week with a screening of the upcoming PBS documentary “Free for All: The Public Library,” a deep dive into the history of the public library system and the “quiet revolutionaries” who made it happen. If you missed Thursday’s screening at the Arcata Library, you’ll want to head on over to the Eureka Library today at 1 p.m.
KSLG’s DJ Dale Cooper linked up with Arcata Library Manager Susan Parsons earlier in the week to learn more about the documentary and the various offerings of our local library system. Click “play” on the link below to hear how the Arcata Library saved Cooper’s skin after his printer went kaput.

Lots of other stuff happening around Humboldt tonight! The Humboldt Roller Derby is gonna duke it out with Auburn’s Outlaws at Redwood Acres and Paranormal Cirque is doing weird stuff in the big top in the Bayshore Mall parking lot. Keep scrolling for more fun stuff!
