Saturday, April 13

Officially the most epic thing happening Saturday night (for reasons that will be clear by the end of this sentence) would have to be the second annual EPIC Spring Gala at the Arcata Community Center. The sweat will be dripping and the feet will be tapping when high-energy, old-timey country band Petunia and the Vipers (video above) take the stage. Other event enticers include modern day jug band the Sour Mash Hug Band, the Humboldt Fire Girls, an early evening gourmet dinner (for those willing to shell out a bit more) and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit the Environmental Protection Information Center. In short, live it up whilst simultaneously saving the world (or something like that).
