This is your memo. Tuesday is apparently Humboldt’s night for dramatic acoustic-ish singer/songwriters as evidenced by this evening’s two most promising out-and-about prospects. And whether you’re in Eureka or Arcata, you’re covered:
- Arcata: Chris Parreira again dons his promoter hat to bring Bay Area musical storyteller John Craigie back to Robert Goodman’s Machine Works Restaurant. Sample Craigie’s looseness in the YouTube clip above. Dude’s a talker.
- Eureka: The Siren’s Song Tavern is offering a rich sound buffet headlined by Seattle-based orchestral-folk duo The Thoughts who accent haunting vocals with harmonium, ukelele and harp tones. Sample their soundscapes in the clip below.
