     Monday Lowdown: Catharsis in Arcata
You can put off doing taxes another day, yeah? ‘Cuz you got some afterwork going out options. This Humboldt Monday features some eclectic funk at Jambalaya courtesy the Brothers Gow as well as the first of two straight nights of breathtaking outdoorsy flicks in the form of The Banff Mountain Film Festival at the Arcata Theatre Lounge.
Leaning toward beauty, trombonist Ryan Keberle — who has worked with both Beyonce and Sufjan Stevens in his musical past — will bring his band Catharsis to the Arcata Playhouse Monday night. Check out their NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert below.
