Lowdown: James McMurtry Tonight at HumBrews, This Afternoon on KHUM

When you are the son of Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Larry McMurtry, odds are you will not suck at words (like, you’d probably come up with a much better sentence to open this brief post).

Well, singer/songwriter James McMurtry has been proving that assumption true over his quarter century career. Often political lyrically, McMurtry will roll into Arcata tonight to paint American character sketches at Humboldt Brews. Before you sip Steelhead in front of him, though, do note that James will drop by Larry Trask’s radio programme at around 3 p.m.
