Lowdown: Whomp for a Cause
Good cause shuffling in Arcata Wednesday. When the beat drops tonight at The Jam’s weekly Whomp night, butts will be shaking in solidarity with those who’ve been displaced during the Valley Fire in Lake County. All donations collected will go toward relief efforts, so when your boss asks you why you’re exhausted Thursday morning, tell that jerk to have a heart.
Pre-Whomp, should you itch to experience the odd cinema of yesteryear, this week’s Arcata Theatre Lounge Sci-Fi Pint and Pizza Night scratches you with a screening of The Giant of Metropolis (1961). You love watching trailers! And there is one below! —AG
