Thursday Lowdown: Bernie’s Future Campaign Success May Hinge on You Attending a Rock Show in Arcata
OK, so candidate Bernie did not have so great a night Tuesday during the latest round of primary battles. ’Twas kinda deflating. Hillary Clinton was able to win four of five states while increasing her already sizable lead in the delegate count. On top of that, the next day it was announced that the Sanders campaign would be laying off hundreds of campaign staffers.
Is the end near? Perhaps, but a fire will still bern in Arcata tonight.
While the math might not be in Sanders’ favor, his self-labeled revolution has inspired millions into something resembling political wokeness. You’ll be able to find living, breathing, rocking evidence of this tonight at The Jam where a handful of women-led bands will gather for the Babes For Bernie fundraising show. Donations will find their way into Bernie’s war chest and attendees will be aurally thanked for their financial allegiance by bands The Lost Luvs, Belles of the Levee, Venus Milk and Chachi Hands. Pretty yuge, you’ll agree.
