Attention, Cheapskates! The Best of Humboldt Fair at Redwood Acres is FREE Today
What’s in a name? Sure, in our hearts it will always be the “Redwood Acres Fair,” but, there last few years, we’ve been learning to accept the rebranded “Best of Humboldt Fair” which opens today and runs through the weekend. By any name it still smells like greasy curly fries. All is well.
LoCO will assure you that all the fair-y things you’ve come to expect over the years will greet you should you head over to Redwood Acres Fairgrounds. Stomach-turning rides, fried food, livestock and carnival games can be yours! But if you would like to sample the spectacle with minimum investment then you best get down there today. Admission to the Best of Humboldt Fair is free, free, free all day Thursday. Get some!
(If you’d like to peek at a schedule of fair events and entertainers, you can maybe figure out what’s happening by visiting Redwood Acres’ website.)
As far as your more standard Lowdown fare goes, the Seattle soul/funk band scheduled to shake up The Jam tonight looks promising. Check out The Dip performing their song “Ready to Go” in the YouTube clip below. —Andrew Goff
