FRIDAY LOWDOWN: Melvin Seals! Humboldt Crabs! Forest Moon Festival! More!
Get ready, friends. Humboldt’s social calendar is about to kick into high gear. From now until Labor Day, the weekends are going to be packed with delights for those who seek them. Summer is here.
This weekend, for example, sees the return of the Star Wars nerd wet dream that is the Forest Moon Festival and opening weekend for your heroic Humboldt Crabs. (Full details in your Lowdown listings below.)
Down in SoHum, beloved Jerry Garcia Band keyboardist Melvin Seals kicks off a two-day jammin’ stint at the Mateel Community Center. In advance of his visit, Seals called in to KWPT The Point’s Rocksteady in the Redwoods to catch up with DJ Irie Adina.
