Watch 83-Year-Old Guitarist Ernest Ranglin on NPR Before He Plays in Arcata Tonight (VIDEO)

Did you drink a lot during the Republican Presidential Primary Debate last night? Us too! Made it super hard to get out the door this morning. But then we thought to ourselves, “Goddammit, 83-year-old ska and reggae guitarist Ernest Ranglin is out there slogging it out on the road, and we’re going to bitch about a slight politics and Steelhead-provoked hangover? WWERD? He would go to work.”

Know that Ranglin will parade out some time-tested licks before the HumBrews faithful Friday night, should you want position yourself in front of them. Below, see him perform with his band as part of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert video series. As always, more joy in your Lowdown listings farther down.
