(VIDEO) Watch Moon Hooch Play a Traffic Cone on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts Before HumBrews Tonight
For years, bands have been rolling into the offices of NPR’s All Songs Considered to record videos as a part of the Tiny Desk Concerts series. With hundreds of performances in the can, let LoCO assure you, you do not have time to watch all of them, but the band that just so happens to be playing at HumBrews tonight put on a pretty memorable performance that more than stood out to the show’s creator Bob Boilen. You should maybe start there (clip below).
Boilen writes on NPR’s music blog:
People ask me all the time to name my favorite Tiny Desk Concert. It’s my desk and I’ve seen almost all of the nearly 400 concerts up close. So you’d think this would be easy. Moon Hooch have made it a lot easier.
Comprised of two saxophonists and a drummer (and sometimes a road cone, as evidenced by this video, Moon Hooch plays a danceable, jazzy mixture of, uh … let’s just watch.
