Wednesday Lowdown: Huck Flint in Blue Lake

The Humboldt Folklife Festival hums along inside Dell’Arte’s green grass-adorned amphitheater with Wednesday’s Country Night headlined by local faves Huckleberry Flint and with performances by April Moore and Ranch Party and Bill Jones. Now, applying a country label to the first two acts hardly seems a stretch, but what about Huckleberry Flint? Are they a truly a country band, you are asking yourself? The answer is yes, of course they are. How could they play Country Night if they weren’t. Shame on you, questioner.

Down in Fortuna Rodeo Week continues on Main Street with more kid-exhausting gaming. Plus, perhaps even more important, it’s the first day the carnival at Rohner Park is open! Rides! Down some curly fries and challenge your stomach, you adventurer you.

Details on those events and more in your Lowdown listings below, oh boy. —AG
