THURSDAY LOWDOWN: Look at All Those Bands
Your Humboldt Thursday boasts more joy than any of us have rightly earned, mostly in the form of bands. Wha? For younger Lowdown clickers, bands are musical ensembles featuring instrument-playing humans. Sometimes it gets weird.
Check ‘em out! Below are three high-energy bands — presented in YouTube form — that you have the option to fill your ears with this eve. From left to right:
- Indie rock and/or rollers The Weeks storm Humboldt Brews.
- Local whatevergrass favs Absynth Quartet pummel the Arcata Playhouse.
- Rockabilly bunkers Black Irish Texas squeeze into the Logger Bar.
Less bandy gatherings in your Lowdown listings farther down. —AG
