TUESDAY LOWDOWN: Some Folk Music at Some House in Arcata

Why go see a concert somewhere you have to keep your shoes on?

Your Humboldt Tuesday is highlighted by an Arcata house concert featuring American folk fiddle-guitar duo Amy Alvey and Mark Kilianski AKA Hoot and Holler. Sample their harmonies of the pair of Berklee School of Music grads in the clip above and, if you need more of that in your life, send an email to crib1251@gmail.com for an address and, you know, tips on where to park and stuff.

Hold up, real quick. While we’re talking about folk music we should mention that it is once again time for Humboldt musicians to request their stage slot during the week-long Humboldt Folklife Festival in July 2017. Hopeful pickers should, well, all the details are at this link <—- So go there.

More details on that Hoot and Holler gig and Tuesday’s other distractions in your Lowdown listings down a-that way. —Andrew Goff
