Aha! Your Groundhog’s Day Lowdown offers a couple unique, Arcata-based distractions with which to ruin your Wednesday morning with:  

  • Shockingly, there are no current laws on the books prohibiting people from dancing on Tuesdays. That being typed, people with ears and/or feet may enjoy what Colorado-based, improvisational funk band The Motet is bringing to the stage tonight at the Arcata Theatre Lounge. Get a taste of how they specifically get up on the down beat in the Youtube clip below on the left.
  • Savage Henry Magazine has again corralled some standup comedians to all appear on the same night at the same place — The Jam in this instance. Headlining the night will be Andrew Holmgren — gracing a Humboldt stage for the second time in as many nights — who you can get to know courtesy of Matt Redbeard’s Youtube interview show below on the right.
