Friday Lowdown: Ack! Literally Too Much Good

Roots, Hips, Shooks

Ouch. A quick scroll of your Lowdown listings below reveals that your Humboldt Friday is embarrassingly rich with live music options. Like, we don’t deserve this nor can we be expected to eat all of this food. Someone invent a concert doggie bag, please.

Briefly noting performers alluded to in the image above:

  • EPIC throws a mean party. Tonight’s Fall Celebration is sure to continue that trend at the Mateel Community Center with performances from Woven Roots, Object Heavy and Joanne Rand.
  • If you want to believe that rock ‘n’ roll can still save the world The Mother Hips are as good a ministry as you’ll find. The Hips rock Humboldt Brews in the first of two nights of shows.
  • Up at the Arcata Theatre Lounge, the Pacific Northwest’s favorite identical sisters Shook Twins return to Humboldt for a night of harmonious indie folk.

Seriously more in your Lowdown listings below. —AG
