O Yeah! Here is Your Oyster Festival Main Stage Schedule

OK! You know the drill, Humboldt! It’s time to put things in your mouth that you maybe normally wouldn’t. We call it the Arcata Bay Oyster Festival. Since LoCO readers are generally pretty savvy about local goings-on, we’re going to assume you don’t need O-Fest re-explained but, in case you need a li’l reminder when you’re day drunk, here is a quick run down of the Main Stage schedule — we would not want you to miss all the glory that is the Oyster Calling Contest, of course:

  • 10 a.m.: Opening
  • 10:30 a.m.: Latin Peppers
  • 12 p.m.: Oyster Calling Contest
  • 12: 30 p.m.: Irie Rockers
  • 1:45 p.m.: Contest Winners Announced
  • 2 p.m.: Shuck and Swallow Contest
  • 2:30 p.m.: Object Heavy
  • 4 p.m. No Good Redwood Ramblers

Lots more info about this year’s 28th annual event can be yours at the Arcata Main Street website. Also, if you hate oysters and/or crowds, there’s plenty else to distract yourself with noted in your Lowdown listings below.
