Cordell Harrison was convicted today of the first-degree murder of
Alderpoint resident Robert Holtsclaw. Harrison showed no emotion,
resting his chin on his hand as the court clerk read the verdict.
The courthouse is closed because of the power outage so the hearing was held in the jury assembly room, where the windows could let in a little light. Harrison sat just a couple of feet from front-row spectators. With his reputation as an escape artist, law enforcement officers nearly outnumbered other members of the audience.
